Dr. Josephine Anuforo, or Dr. Joe as her patients like to call her, is board certified in internal medicine with expertise in adult and geriatric care by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Born in Nigeria and raised in America, Dr. Joe migrated to the United States with her family in 2004. She graduated from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN where she majored in biology and minored in biochemistry. She left Minnesota for Florida to attend Ross University School of Medicine where she pursued a medical education and had the opportunity to study tropical medicine for 18 months in Dominica, West Indies. She then returned to the U.S. to finish her medical education and clinical rotation in New York, completing her internal medicine residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital. After her residency, she moved to Georgia to be closer to family and to create solid patient-provider relationships through her practice, Oasis Medical Center of Georgia.
Board-certified doctor of nursing practice, Dr. Sylvanus Anuforo, known to his patients as Dr. Sylva, has more than 20 years of nursing experience and vast experience in healthcare practice and management. At Oasis Medical Center of Georgia, Dr. Sylva specializes in pediatrics, adult medicine, geriatrics, and mental health and is passionate about building strong relationships with his patients. He migrated to the United States with his family more than 15 years ago, first settling in Minnesota and then moving to Georgia for warmer weather. Dr. Sylva lives in Winston, GA with his beautiful wife and adult children.
